IBM eServer Named "Best of Show" at LinuxWorld

IBM today announced that IBM eServer has again won top honours at the LinuxWorld Conference & Expo. IBM eServer iSeries, the integrated business server for mid-sized enterprises, was named "Best of Show" in the annual competition recognising outstanding achievements by the open source community. Earlier this year, the IBM eServer z900, the reinvented mainframe, took top honours at LinuxWorld in New York City. IBM recently introduced the latest version of eServer iSeries, designed to provide integrated, easy-to-manage solutions for small to medium-sized businesses. The powerful new servers feature mainframe-class reliability and security, and the ability to run native Linux in a logical partition. A single iSeries server can support up to 31 separate Linux partitions, offering customers an attractive alternative to costly, power-hungry server farms.
